Our Mission

Kinderhaus nurtures confident, compassionate, and curious children through German language immersion, nature-based play, and a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early learning.

Teacher and student

Confidence and independence as capable learners

Children are encouraged to make choices, solve problems, and take on new challenges with the support of caring teachers.

Early bilingualism and cultural fluency

Through daily exposure to German language, traditions, songs, and stories, children build language skills and a broader understanding of the world.

Strong social-emotional skills and empathy

A cooperative classroom helps children develop kindness, resilience, communication, and respect for themselves and others.

Curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving through play

Hands-on exploration and open-ended play inspire children to ask questions, think creatively, and discover how things work.

A lasting connection to nature and community

Daily (rain or shine) outdoor experiences and a close-knit cooperative community help children build confidence, responsibility, and a sense of belonging.

A Foundation That Lasts

For more than 20 years, Kinderhaus has helped children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning while fostering meaningful connections among families. Many parents share that their children begin understanding and speaking German within just a few months—through songs, stories, play, and everyday conversation. Graduates transition confidently into bilingual and language-focused elementary programs, while friendships formed at Kinderhaus often continue long after graduation, strengthening our community for years to come.

Testimonials from our community

Mon helping daughter

Choosing Kinderhaus has been a wonderful decision for our family. One of the things we appreciated most was the school’s welcoming approach to the enrollment process. Being able to attend playdates and open houses before our child’s first day made the transition incredibly smooth and helped us all feel at home before we even started.

We’ve been impressed by the engaging environment the educators create on a daily basis. Whether it’s a hands-on art project or a seasonal cultural celebration, the activities are clearly designed to spark curiosity and keep the kids excited about learning. And we’ve seen a shift in our child’s German fluency in such a short period of time. Hearing them speak the language with such confidence and ease to family members in Germany is a testament to the wonderful educators and the supportive environment they’ve built.
